Handmade Holiday Cards

Handmade Graduation Cards Knowledge Base

Is it a good idea to hand out handmade "thank you" notes to my graduation party guests? I'm debating about whether to make the notes or not. My idea is to do antique-looking paper with a note thanking them for celebrating with me on my accomplishment but I don't know if its appropriate or not. I don't want to be boastful either. This is IN ADDITION to sending thank you notes for the gifts i'll be receiving. Most of my guests are out of town and I'm planning on sending the "thank you for your gift" cards after the event so that I may specify their gift and name on the cards. Or should I just do some for my local guests? What are your thoughts on this?
I need invitations for my graduation AND party? I am looking for a place that is inexpensive, but offers great looking cards. I like the style of this card http://www.announcingit.com/main/font.asp?pid=19808&catid=40 But not too fond of the zebra print... They are over $60 for 20! I am looking to be able to send out 2 different invitations in one evelope that will match. 1 for the graduation ceremony and 1 for the party. Any handmade invitation ideas? You must include the envelope too! I am on a tight budget and I need to know how much this is going to cost. Planning ahead always helps me to save a lot of $$. I am also looking for a place that customizes diposable plates, cups and napkins that don't charge a butt load. I tried oriental trading BUT they just do napkins. Can you customize these yourself? If so how? I will send out a max of 50 invitations as I'm not inviting everyone and their cousin. And a max of 30 people for the party... This was the only section I thought I could find input about invitations. Is there a different section? I would be happy to post there instead. I do want to note I am graduating from college. It's kinda a big deal because I'm the 1st in my family...
