How much are iphone 3Gs/3G in Japan? I am planning a holiday to Tokyo, Japan in November and I was just wondering how much would it cost for a iphone 3Gs or a 3G on pre-pay? Obviously I wouldn't want it on a contract but just the phone and I would use my O2 sim card instead. Would it be cheaper in Japan then in the UK because it was released in Japan before anywhere else and that the japanese market being perhaps cheaper that of the UK. Cheers!!
How come Japanese in America are not playing the...? ...political race card as persecuted minorities??? The ones I have met/known are always polite, educated & employed. Hard working, dedicated & excelling in their fields of expertise too. Maybe they are just too busy being productive & successful to march for civil rights, I don't know? Never seen one with food stamps or stand in line for a cheese block either. Never heard a one of them ever complain about their relatives being interned in American internment camps because of their ethnicity. It's like they just get on with their lives or something. In WW2 the all Japanese units of the 100th infantry battalion & 442nd regimental combat team were decorated with 20 of the 22 MEDAL OF HONOR decorations, that were pinned on GI's chests of Japanese ethnicity. Even this pales in comparison to the 52 Distinguished Service Crosses, 560 Silver Stars, 28 Oak Leaf Clusters to the Silver Star, 4,000 Bronze Stars, 1200 Oak Leave Clusters to the Bronze Star, & 9486 Purple Hearts. The 442nd is still today the most decorated military unit of it's size in American history. In addition the 100th & 442nd also earned EIGHT Presidential Unit Citations. Their casualty rate of ... 314% ... tells the story about their "determination" to excel. What I'm asking is I don't see a "2nd Lt. Daniel K. Inouye" national holiday like the Martin L. King holiday. AND, ya can bet "Marty" would NOT have wanted to change places & events with "Dan"!!! Yet these guys along with their kin of today remain "mute" in the political ring of minority preference & government benefit handouts. Is it just genetics? Maybe a cultural thing? Are all Japanese in America just filthy rich beyond belief? Pride, self respect? I don't know? In fact, I've never seen ANY Oriental holding a cardboard sign, panhandling at intersections. But truly my travel experiences have been limited to the northwest including Alaska. CORRECTION; I have seen ALEUTS up in Anchorage panhandling at intersections, & Aleuts are Oriental Mongolian's. Now maybe in the rest of the country that I have NOT seen, most of the benefit beggars & panhandlers are Japanese & other Orientals. There sure not up in the northwest though! ANY thoughts on this question of mine???

Question about Green card re-entry permit? Hello everyone. I am currently a green card holder, but studying in Japanese University. Since I'll be studying here for two years, I applied for the re-entry permit and already recieved the document from the US customs. Now, my question is, if I go back home in the US for a holiday or something, will I lose the re-entry permit at the moment I enter the US or can I use it more than one time(meaning come back to the US using the same one without applying for a new permit everytime) if it's within two years? I wasn't sure about this so I decided to ask here. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks.
Can someone PLEASE explain "Naruto"? Will someone PLEASE explain this whole naruto card game tin thing to me?? I'm trying to buy a card tin for my nephew for the holidays. He wants Naruto cards. In a tin. There are about five million tins with eight billion different cards. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO GET?? I'm an adult, and the only thing I know about Naruto is that it is a Japanese cartoon. Can anyone shed some light on what you think I should get? What's good for a kid who is just starting out? Do the characters matter? HELP!!! And do me a favor: If you're one of those smart a** people who say stuff like, "just buy one" or "get a life", don't bother to answer. I'm really serious.
Christmas gift for my boyfriend? I've been with my boyfriend a little over a year and we're really close...I know what he's like & what he likes but I'm still stuck on what to get him BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A LOT TO SPEND ON HIM, so can anyone suggest good gifts for guys around 18? I feel awful because I have six siblings so I really have about $20 to spend on him & to my knowledge, his gift to me is about $100! & he's ignored my request to not spend that much. He's a gamer & still loves dueling (cards), he's into music but most of it is Japanese rock & he steals loads of music from the Internet. He's an anime fan! He DOESN'T read a lot or do art things & he's not into cars or sports as much as girls assume. He's mentioned wanting a scarf a couple times, like when he sees a guy with a scarf on, but then he says that he has nothing to wear it with & can't find one he likes, I feel that this would be a cheap gift but I just don't have the money... ---My dilema is, even though I know him, I don't know what I can get him CHEAP that he would USE/LOVE, he spends all of him time with me or on his computer when I can't be with him...Maybe something around mu budget that doesn't Seem so cheap? Ugh, holiday's are frustrating. When I ask what he wants for Christmas he says "I don't know" or "Nothing really". As far as I know, he has almost "everything he could ever want", his family spoils him. But he really doesn't want it or even care. He just spends his time TRYING to spoil me. I feel bad that I can't do the same, money wise, right now. :(
10 points somebody help!? hi everyone. the holidays are coming up. my son LOVES japanese puzzle boxes, and other things like that. can someone give me the hardest, coolest puzzle box you can find, thats under 60 dollars. if its a little higher thats fine but not too much. it doesnt even need to be a box, but someplace where you can put something in. he wants one that he can put something like keys and things, and just incase come with directions. thanks so much, you dont know how much this means to me, he is a collector so he will love this. please, just puzzle no lego's or anything...either a special kind of rubix cube like the mirror cube, or a japanese puzzle box thats cheap, but big enough for keys or something. or a deck of cards. thanks so much. What is he afraid of? What do I do? I like this gentleman. He is intelligent and kind. People who work with him told me that he has a crush on me. I like him too. He is single. He and I sometimes e mail each other. We talk once in a long while. We see each other at holiday gatherings (not alone). I could tell he likes me. Here is the problem: I can not get him to go out with me alone. Finally (after a year), I told him that I will be seeing clients in his area and would like to have coffee with him. He made an excuse and said he could not make it. Last year, I cohosted A Thanksgiving dinner with a girl friend. He came. A week later, he sent a Japanese restaurant gift certifiate to me with a thank you card. I thought that was the perfect opportunity. I sent him an e mail and asked him to go have dinner or lunch in that Japanese restaurant with me. He did not even answer my e mail. What do you think is going on? My friend who works with this gentlemen told me that this gentlemen is afraid of girls. What does all this mean No, we do not work together. When I had surgery several months ago, he sent a get well card to me. I know for a fact that he likes me. How can I break the ice?
Under Obama, Unions Could Do To Rest of Economy What They Did to GM: Will MSM Notice? ? Under Obama, Unions Could Do To Rest of Economy What They Did to GM: Will MSM Notice? Labor costs the Detroit Three substantially more per vehicle than it does the Japanese. Health care is the biggest chunk. GM, for instance spends $1,635 per vehicle on health care for active and retired workers in the U.S. Toyota pays nothing for retired workers - it has very few - and only $215 for active ones . . . Contract issues like work rules, line relief and holiday pay amount to $630 per vehicle - costs that the Japanese don't have. And paying UAW members for not working when plants are shut costs another $350 per vehicle. -- Fortune [1] magazine, January 26, 2007 Obama and Biden will strengthen the ability of workers to organize unions. He will fight for passage of the Employee Free Choice Act. Obama and Biden will ensure that his labor appointees support workers' rights and will work to ban the permanent replacement of striking workers. -- Official Obama website statement [2]on labor [emphasis added]. Lost amidst the mutual finger-pointing over responsibility for the financial crisis is one incontrovertible fact. Under a President Obama, the unionization of America's economy could soar, thanks to the combined effect of the legislation he would sign into law and those labor-friendly appointees he would name to oversee union elections and other matters. And while the blame for the possible demise of GM and other American automakers rests partly with feckless, uninspired management, a good measure is rightly laid at the feet of American unions who pushed a variety of contract provisions that have left the domestic industry uncompetitive with foreign manufacturers. Let's talk for a moment about that "Employee Free Choice Act" whose passage Obama promotes and that, with a compliant Congress, would almost surely be passed into law. As I wrote [3]last month, its very name is "double-speak that would make the commissars at Orwell's Ministry of Truth blush." Far from promoting free choice, it would go a long way to destroying it. The law would end a worker's right to a secret ballot in unionization elections, to be replaced by a "card check" system in which the vote of each individual would be published. As that unforgettable ad [click YouTube at right] suggests, it would be the Johnny Sacks of the world standing over the shoulders of workers as they cast their unionization ballots. Almost two years ago, that same Fortune article cited above questioned "the continued survival of the U.S. [auto] companies." Now Obama wants to let unions do for the rest of the economy what they did for GM. Will the MSM take note? What are the odds Bob Schieffer quizzes Obama on the "Employee Free Choice Act" at next Wednesday's debate? PS: Guess who [4]announced this week that they're launching a $3 million ad campaign on behalf of Obama? ________________________________________ Source URL: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-finkelstein/2008/10/10/under-obama-unions-could-do-rest-economy-what-they-did-gm-will-msm Links: [1] http://money.cnn.com/2007/01/26/news/companies/pluggedin_taylor_ford.fortune/index.htm [2] http://www.barackobama.com/issues/economy/#labor [3] http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-finkelstein/2008/09/01/forward-17th-century-obama-advisor-preaches-mercantilism [4] http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSTRE4970ML20081008?rpc=64
Am I able to get married to a US citizen and apply for a Green Card in Canada even if I am not Canadian? I am Japanese. I recently live in Canada on a working holiday visa and am planning on getting married to my American boyfriend (he lives in US). We both don't want to apply for a K-1 visa because it takes too long time. And I don't want to enter the US on a visa waiver program and get married and apply for a GC, which is a little risky. We don't have time to go to Japan until next year. So we are now thinking of getting married and applying for a GC in Canada. But Canada is a foreign country for both of him and me. I am not very sure if it can work. Anyone please advise me? Thank you.
