Handmade Holiday Cards

Would you buy awesome handmade Christmas cards off eBay? How much would you pay?

Would you buy awesome handmade Christmas cards off of craigslist.com or eBay.com? If you would...how much would you expect or want to pay for them? How many would you think you would want? Like...how many cards would you think a set of handmade Christmas cards would have? What would you like to see on you Christmas cards? Would you prefer them to be more traditional with reds and greens etc. Or would like "artsy" type ones with all colors (not just the basic Christmas colors). Would you like to see "elegant" type ones with silver and gold and maybe light blues? Im thinking about making some and trying to sell them.... (Looking for ideas and whatnot)

  1. I would buy handmade christmas cards from online. I think it's cuter than buying impersonal cards from the store. In handmade packages of cards, I've seen them usually come with anywhere from 4-10 cards each. I would sell them for 50cents to a dollar a card, depending on how many you put in a package. You have to make some profit off them, considering you put a lot of work into them most likely, and in order to afford new materials. I think you could market all three of those ideas, whether traditional, artsy, or elegant. Everyone has different tastes. PS-If you do end up making them, I suggest trying to sell them on Etsy.com as well. Etsy is sort of like an Ebay, but it is for homemade crafts.
  2. I personally would buy handmade Christmas cards if they weren't sloppy. I would put 4-10 in a set like the person above me said. I would price them .25cents - $1.00 a card depending how much money and time you put into them. I prefer the traditional cards, but every ones taste is different. You could make a couple sets of each and see which ones sale the best. You could also have a mixture of the cards in a set so they are not all the same. Good Luck I hope you sale a lot.
  3. Selling them on Etsy.com would probably be better. It's a lot better than eBay [in my opinion] and lot's of people buy + sell cards on Etsy. You should definately check it out! =) www.xmiracle.etsy.com
  4. I would love to purchase a well crafted Christmas Card set for the holiday season. That is, if it looked very professional and beautiful! : ) They have to have that certain Holiday 'flare' to them as well, along with the Christmas Feeling. I would pay no more than 15$ for the set, which would or should include a decent amount of cards. But if they are thick and well crafted, maybe around 5 or 6 in the set. What would I like to see on the cards? Maybe something mystical, a winter wonderland perhaps, or a beautiful glance of scenery with a snowman here and there. Everything that involves Christmas actually, from snowmen, to St. Nick. I would prefer them to be "artsy" but also including the traditional Christmas colors. Be creative, and incorporate those colors into the artsy feel of other colors. I also think blue would give off a great feel to them, along with gold and silver. : ) I don't really think either choice is a bad idea. I can't decide on either or. ^^ This is a great question, I thank you for letting me answer. Good Luck and Keep that Creativity Flowing. I was very happy to have helped! I do agree though, you may want to try www.etsy.com rather than Ebay. Its easier to find specific Christmas cards over etsy, which many people seem to buy rather than on ebay. :) And a very early Christmas to you!
